Cemeteries

The city owns two cemeteries within the city limits: West End Memorial Cemetery and East End Memorial Cemetery. City staff is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of grounds and selling of plots.

West End Cemetery is located at the intersection of Washington Street and Lillian Street across from Tarleton State University.

East End Memorial Cemetery is located on Highway 281 approximately one-half mile north of Washington Street near Tejas Golf Course.

Mt. Olive Cemetery is located on College Farm Road, just south of Lingleville Highway / FM 8.  Mt. Olive is privately owned, but is maintained by the city.

FEES

City Residents – $600.00 per plot*
Non-Residents – $750.00 per plot*

*Filing fees will be applied at time of purchase.
