City Facilities Closed - Thursday, February 3, 2022
Due to current and forecasted weather conditions, WE WILL BE CLOSING ALL CITY FACILITIES FOR TODAY. Rest assured that while offices and facilities are closed to the public, we are still HARD AT WORK ensuring Stephenville is prepared and ready to weather the storm!
- Police and Fire Department personnel are on duty and prepared for emergency calls.
- Public Works crews are on call and ready to sand roadways and handle debris caused by downed trees so that our Public Safety Department can respond to emergencies.
- The City’s water treatment and distribution system is fully functioning and generators are ready to go in case of power outages. We will be monitoring the system throughout the freezing weather to ensure that our residents have water.
- All generators that help power essential City services in the case of a power outage are fueled up and ready to go, to include additives to prevent freezing.
- Snow chains and anti-gel have been distributed throughout the City to ensure the safest travel possible for our employees that have to venture outside.
Please limit your travel to what is truly necessary – otherwise, stay home and stay warm!
