Environmental Worker - Part-time
Department: Parks and Leisure
Reports To: Parks Superintendent
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Hourly Rate: $15.00
JOB SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Parks Superintendent, this position is responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of the Recreation Hall, Senior Center and Splashville. This person will be responsible for ordering all inventory and supplies for the cleaning and maintenance of City of Stephenville Parks and Leisure Facilities.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

Cleaning: Dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, washing windows and mirrors.

Maintenance: Performing minor repairs, such as changing light bulbs, replacing interior signage and unclogging pipes.

Disinfecting: Disinfecting surfaces in restrooms.

Trash removal: Emptying all interior trash receptacles and disposing them in the proper manner.

Inventory Control: Restocking bathrooms and supply closets and maintaining cleaning inventory.

Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspection and maintenance activities and replace air filters at each facility.

Regular and timely attendance is required, as well as, the ability to get along with
others in a professional and cordial manner.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

The individual selected must be self-motivated and able to clearly follow directions. Must be able to produce results with limited supervision.

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and currently have and maintain a satisfactory driving record

Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age

Six months of environmental maintenance experience preferred

Must pass a background check and drug test
