Should the threatening weather come after opening, all swimmers will be cleared from the pool and seek shelter in their vehicles until swimming can resume. Swimmers will receive a stamp to re-enter the facility once the weather clears.  Threatening weather conditions lasting longer than (1) one hour may warrant the closing of the pool for the day.  The City of Stephenville will not issue any admission refunds due to weather.

All visitors to Splashville must abide by all the rules, regulations and City Ordinances in order to continue a safe and healthy environment (see Department of Health Safety Recommendations for more information).  If at any time you feel or see anything that disrupts a safe and healthy environment, please contact us immediately.  Splashville may close without notice for chemical adjustments to the pool.  Chemical adjustments may be needed due to pH/Chlorine levels, or foreign objects in the pool.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and a day pass will be issued upon request.  The City of Stephenville will not issue refunds.

Department of Health Safety Recommendations

Three Steps for All Swimmers - keep germs from causing illnesses (RWIs) at the pool:

  • Please don't swim when you have diarrhea. You can spread germs in the water and make other people sick.
  • Please don't swallow the pool water. Avoid getting water in your mouth.
  • Please practice good hygiene. Shower with soap before swimming and wash your hands after using the toilet or changing diapers. Germs on your body end up in the water.

Three Steps for Parents of Young Kids - Keep germs out of the pool:

  • Please take your kids on bathroom breaks and check diapers often. Waiting to hear "I have to go" may mean that it's too late.
  • Please change diapers in a bathroom or a diaper-changing area and not at poolside. Germs can spread in and around the pool.
  • Please wash your child thoroughly (especially the rear end) with soap and water before swimming.  Invisible amounts of fecal matter can end up in the pool

Swimmer Discipline Procedures

First Offense: Sit outside of pool next to the lifeguard who administered the discipline for 15 minutes (no communication with other swimmers).

Second Offense: Sit outside of pool next to the lifeguard who administered the discipline for 30 minutes (No communication with other swimmers).

Third Offense: Asked to leave the facility.  Suspension may be a minimum of 24 hours to maximum of one year.

Swimmers that are suspended must sign their suspension form and their parents must sign also. Refusal to sign could result in added suspension time.

All steps above must be followed before suspension is administered.
