The City of Stephenville operates a Type IV Landfill under TCEQ permit no. MSW-664.
THIS FACILITY IS PERMITTED TO ACCEPT BRUSH/CONSTRUCTION DEMOLITION WASTE AND REGULAR RUBBISH THAT IS FREE OF PUTRESCIBLE AND HOUSEHOLD WASTES.

Vehicles with inadequate containment of waste will be charged double the current rate. Loads must be covered and will be assessed at the gate.
Hazardous waste, grease trapping, septic tank pumping, and all wastes prohibited by the TCEQ for Type IV Landfills is strictly prohibited.
Free Household Hazardous Waste Disposal for all City of Stephenville Residents
The City of Stephenville maintains an agreement with the City of Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center to allow City of Stephenville residents (with proof of residency) to drop off household hazardous waste items all year long at no cost to the resident.

The next event will be held August 17, 2024 from 9 a.m to 11 a.m. Please note that pharmaceuticals are no longer accepted as part of the program.
The Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center, located at 6400 Bridge Street, Fort Worth, Texas (with easy access from I-30 and 820, just east of downtown) has the availability to receive household hazardous waste year-around drop-off on Thursdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you have questions, in regards to waste handling instructions please take a moment to view the Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center website, or call 817-392-1234.
Electronics Recycling
