Upcoming Capital Improvement Projects
- 1MG GST and PS at Airport PS
- Projected Cost: $2,500,000 American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Funds
- Description: This project consists of a new 1MG Ground Storage Tank (GST) and Pump Station.
- Objective: This project will provide state-required storage to offset the decommissioning of the Paddock PS and GST.
- Long Street Reconstruction
- Projected Cost: $5,000,000
- Description: This project will re-place brick pavement from Graham to Race and concrete or asphalt pavement from Race to Alexander.
- Objective: This project will replace pavement, but will also replace the dilapidated water and sewer infrastructure under the pavement as well as provide ADA-compliant sidewalks.
- ESS – Phase III
- Projected Cost: $4,500,000
- Description: This project will extend the Eastside Sewer trunk main from Collins to US 281 and to Lingleville Road.
- Objective: This project will provide sewer facilities for future growth along the US 281 corridor.
- 536 Well Field and Transmission Pipeline
- Projected Cost: $6,735,000
- Description: This project consists of 5 water production wells, internal water piping network, roadways, security enclosures for each well, electrical, and SCADA
- Objective: This project will provide water production wells to meet future growth needs. This project will also provide the 1.5 mile transmission pipeline from an existing raw water line to the 536 well field.
- Elevated Water Tower
- Projected Cost: $3,500,000
- Description: This project consists of a new 0.75 MG Elevated Storage Tank near the intersection of Lingleville Road and Morgan Mill Road.
- Objective: This project will provide additional elevated storage capacity to meet TCEQ storage requirements as well provide water facilities for future growth along the US 281 corridor.
