Highway 377 1,000,000 Ground Storage Tank Rehabilitation
Notice is hereby given that City of Stephenville, hereinafter referred to as the OWNER, shall receive sealed proposals for the following waterworks improvements:
377 Ground Storage Tank Rehabilitation in Stephenville, Texas: This Work involves the corrosion related welding repairs/modifications/replacement to the roof and support members, roof vents, interior/exterior ladders, safety handrailing, level target removal, overflow flap valve, coating/painting of inlet and outlet piping, complete coating removal and re-application of the exterior surfaces on the pump containment units, general repairs and complete coating removal and re-application of the interior and exterior surfaces on the 1,000,000-gallon steel ground storage tank known as the 377 Ground Storage Tank constructed in 1985 and owned by the City of Stephenville, Texas. The Bidders attention is directed to the Detailed Technical Specifications for a complete description of the Work and the Project.
Sealed proposals for the 377 Ground Storage Tank Rehabilitation Project will be received in the office of the City Secretary at Stephenville City Hall, 298 W. Washington, Stephenville, Texas 76401. Bids will be opened and read publicly at 2:00 p.m., prevailing time on December 21, 2020.
Bids shall be addressed to Staci King, City Secretary. Any bid received after closing time will be returned unopened. Bid envelopes shall be labeled “377 Ground Storage Tank Rehabilitation Project.”
A Pre-Bid conference is scheduled for December 11, 2020 at 10:00 a.m., via a ZOOM meeting sent to all current plan holders. Prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Representatives from the City of Stephenville and Provenance Engineering will be in attendance to discuss the project and be available for questions.
No bid may be changed, amended or modified by telegram or otherwise after the above time and date. A bid may be, however, withdrawn and resubmitted any time prior to the time set for receipt of bids.
Bid security in the form of Cashier's Check, Bid Bond or other negotiable instrument in the amount of 5% of the greatest amount bid must accompany each bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will promptly enter into a contract and execute bonds and insurance as outlined in the specifications and Instructions to Bidders.
Bid Documents will be available to purchase for electronic download upon confirmation that a non-refundable deposit of $50.00 paid by check has been mailed. Checks for the Bid Documents are to be made out to and delivered to Provenance Engineering, 5049 Edwards Ranch Rd., Suite 400, Fort Worth, Texas 76109. The City of Stephenville reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formality in connection therewith.
Submitting a Bid on the forms that will be bound with the Bidding Documents shall acknowledge that the tank and site have been inspected by the BIDDER or that the right to do so has been waived.
