West Long Street Reconstruction Project

The City of Stephenville will receive sealed bids for the West Long Street Reconstruction Project until 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at City Hall, 298 W. Washington St., Stephenville, TX 76401.
Bids shall be addressed to Terri Johnson, Interim City Secretary. Bid envelopes shall be clearly labeled with project name, ITB number, bid opening date, and company name. Bids will be opened and read aloud publicly at above time and place. Any bid received after stated closing time will be returned unopened.
Work to be performed generally includes reconstruction of West Long Street from Alexander Road to Graham Avenue. The existing 2-lane undivided urban section will be reconstructed with curb, gutter and sidewalks on both sides of the road. Paving and sidewalk improvements will be contained within the right-of-way. Existing water and wastewater mains and service lines, 9’x5.5’ culvert crossing, and related appurtenances will be replaced. Quantities include approximately: 2,800 SY Brick Paving; 6,400 SY 3.5” HMAC or 7” Concrete Paving; 3,000 LF 4” Concrete Sidewalk with and without Integrated Retaining Walls; 3,500 LF 6”-8” PVC Waterline; and 3,400 LF 6”-12” PVC Sanitary Sewer.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at City Hall, 298 W. Washington St., Stephenville, TX 76401. The Pre-Bid Conference is MANDATORY for PRIME CONTRACTORS submitting a bid for this project.

Bid Documents are on file, for review only, at the office of the Purchasing Department, 1201 Glen Rose Road, Stephenville, Texas 76401.
Bid security in the form of Cashier's Check or Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the greatest amount bid must accompany each bid.
The City of Stephenville reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, to re-advertise, or to proceed otherwise when the best interest of the City will be realized hereby. Bid award is not solely based on price alone.
A bid may be withdrawn and resubmitted any time prior to the time set for receipt of bids. No bid may be modified after above time and date. Bids shall be held firm for a period of 60 days unless otherwise stated.
